]]> In 1924, the National Gallery in London bought the painting Sunflowers by Van Gogh. Therefor, the Van Gogh National Park in the south of the Netherlands has declared 2024 as the year of the sunflower. Near Zundert, the village where Van Gogh was born in 1853, a field with sunflowers was planted as they are in a vase, as in that famous painting in London. Only in September, October 2024, one could see the painting in bloom.
